Lance's Mission, Curitiba Brazil Oct 2023-2025

HAPPY THANKSGIVING Y'ALL! Wow it has been a  week , felt like a month haha. We have done soo many different things and talked to hundreds of different people.  Now I have been in my Official area for a  week  in Ala 2. First day here i met this super cool dude, He is a member and his name is Thiago. I am convinced that he is one of the 3 Nephites. This man is awesome. He speaks perfect english and even has lived in Utah a little bit. He has recently become super involved and pretty much always trying to do everything he can do to help the missionaries and participate in the work. He regrets not going on a  mission  so he is basicaly serving unofficialy alongside us working as a member. He will always show up in neihborhoods we usually walk through and ask where we are so he he can help. He even took it a step further and rented a car for 2 days and took us to the far corners of our area to try to talk to people there becuase it is an hour or so walking time...

One of the last breakfasts in the CTM was Waffles! it was like a dream come true!! then we had pizza too for the last dinner! it was sad saying bye to all my friends at the CTM but i was also super excited to get to the field.  Going to the airport went super well! i was worried about an overweight bag that was 32 Kg and they are suposed to be 23 or under to be covered by my ticket otherwise i would have to pay for the extra weight. i was ready to pay and a little worried about it, but when i checked my luggage in the guy told me that it woulld be no charge! i was soo happy andd grateful. the Airlines Azul is the best! the owner is apearently a member of our church so they told me a friend owns it and to not worry about the bags, and then they took all three bags and checked all 3 for free! the flight was only an hour and when we got there my  mission  Prisedent was waiting for us. he took us to the  mission  home and had a pizza buffet for lunch. it was possibl...

This  week  went by quite a bit slower than the others. Probably because we are super close to leavig the CTM and i am soo ready to go. One class near the begining of the  week  we had a sub and it was this worker we had not met yet but only seen and i swear she is like the human version of Minni Mouse! She is very short and wears a bow on  her head, and is always smiling, so i have just called her Minni Mouse. We told her all that and she laughed but loved it, but we later determined that she would probably match the movie charachter Penelipe from Wreck It Ralph. I have finaly gotten over the sickness I had which was relieving... but, another Elder in my district still has somthing and will consistantly have light cuaghing fits that keep going until he and everyone else are dying with luaghter becuse he cannot stop. Super fast  week . Not much has happened pretty normal classes, I enjoyed goin to the temple. I did get to try this food callled a pastel and that was super good. I began watching the Book of Mormon Videos in Portugues and those are fire. A big storm hit us out of nowhere with lots of wind rain and lightning and knocked out power off and on for a day. I've gotten sick sadly and got some kind of infection so it hurts and has not been pleasent but i know i'll be alright and feel better eventually. The Elders in my district gave me a blessing and i have been doin better since then. Fast and testimony meeting was super cool, i  had been looking forward to that for a while and got to hear everynes testimonies and share. Yesturday was probably the most intense Vollyball game we have played here at the CTM so far! it was CRAZY! We had wild saves on both sides and spiked it down, slamming down. I served my best serves and jumped up pretty much spiking it down with a topspin from behin...

 Happy Halloween! I went trick or treating and my neighbors gave me a treat... a scripture haha. Moroni 10:4 is a bomb scripture.     It is CRAZY!!! I am now on  week  FIVE. I Have been out for a month already! This  week  has gone by in a blur. Super fast and not a lot of crazy things... but... we did get to hear from one of the 12 appostles which was super cool! He shared a great powerful message and we all gave him and his wife a fist bump. This was on Thursday though, last P day was Tuesday. everyday had pretty normal classes now that we have our new teacher figured out. Our new sceduele has been good! Classes in the morning so that our minds are fresh and not dead haha. Then we have physicle activity time later at night and go to our rooms. This leaves us plenty of time to study. Like... a lot of time. Sometimes close to 3 hours.  With this extra time I had began a little project that will hopefully help me out in the field. I skimmed through...
