Mission Week 4

Happy Halloween! I went trick or treating and my neighbors gave me a treat... a scripture haha. Moroni 10:4 is a bomb scripture.

It is CRAZY!!! I am now on week FIVE. I Have been out for a month already! This week has gone by in a blur. Super fast and not a lot of crazy things... but... we did get to hear from one of the 12 appostles which was super cool! He shared a great powerful message and we all gave him and his wife a fist bump. This was on Thursday though, last P day was Tuesday. everyday had pretty normal classes now that we have our new teacher figured out. Our new sceduele has been good! Classes in the morning so that our minds are fresh and not dead haha. Then we have physicle activity time later at night and go to our rooms. This leaves us plenty of time to study. Like... a lot of time. Sometimes close to 3 hours.

With this extra time I had began a little project that will hopefully help me out in the field. I skimmed through the entire Book Of Mormon and found all of the highlighted scriptures and basically the power scriptures and put all of that into my paper copy of the Book of Mormon. I did this so that i can quickly turn in the Book of Mormon and find somthing to share with others. In doing this and working on this project it felt llike a super long thing to do, but it benifited me soo much. I basically read a minni summery of the Book of mormon in a week but only like an hour or so a day. This was crazy. There was soo much information filling my head at one time it even gave me a bit of a headache haha. But i learned soo much and know more of the scriptures off the top of my head. I am also reading the book of mormon fully, (not skimming) to gather anything i missed and am almost through. I have goals to read Doctrine and Covenants, The Bible and more to expand and grow my knowladge. Having the physicle paper scriptures marked to use better is so powerful to me and i am glad i did it.

One Funny thing that happend was on Sunday after a devotional i was talking with some spanish speaking missionaries and they all were asking me if i played football(American Football). I told them not really just a little bit and just for fun sometimes but that i love basketball (Basquete). Then they kept asking if i was famous, i said no with a luagh, but they kept insisting and saying that i was Famous or sumthin haha. They all got my facebook but it was just fuunny that they were all convinced that i was famous.

Now that was a bunch of good news, switching now to language... as you all know it is not an easy thing to learn a language. This is complete facts. Its been difficult but... I am slowly growing to understand more and more. I am doing my best to put in the work and study cranking out this app called Tall Embark for language study. I am also working to read at least 2 pages of my Livro De Mormon every day even if i dont understand what im reading. A prophet once said somewhere that the best and quickest way to help learn a language is to read the Book Of Mormon in that language. I know that if i keep putting in the work, and continuallly put my trust in God i will know, understand, and speak Portugues.

Sunday we had a great meeting, one talk in sacrement meeting really stood out to me becuase i felt like i could relate to it a lot. They shared a story called, i am the Gardener, by Hubie Brown. It is also in Elder Christophersons talk, As Many As I Love, I Rebuke And Chasten. In the April 2011 General Conferance. Check it out, its a W talk. I know that God loves me enough, to cut me down. He has a plan for me, and he knows what my capabilities are and what i can become. But he loves me enough to cut me down, and humble me, Becuase he knows what i will become. That i will become stronger and better and bring forth even better fruit. And i may not understand when he cuts me down. I might ask... why? How could you do this to me, why would you make my life so hard? but in the end i will come to thank him. Thank him for loving me enough to cut me down so that i could grow to what i will be.

I know that God Loves me. I know that he Loves all of you.

God is good yall, God is Great.

Sorry that was long, I had a lot I wanted to share with yall

Until next week, Peace and blessings, Tchau!
