Mission Week 10

Ok, guys, I did it. I bought some creatine and protein powder. Working out is pretty big here, so i get to talk to lots of people about it, and it's great!... I just dont get to do it... But that's ok! We buildin spiritual muscles out here, not physicle. I was able to make a contact by talking to a guy in between his pull-up sets at the park and talk about working out asking him questions about that first, and it went super well!

Speaking of contacts and contacting... I know how and can make my own contacts now! In portugues! It's hype! I still don't know most of what anybody says back to me. I can just tell them a few simple words about how great Jesus is, and i can share more, then i grab those digits(Number).

Christmas is coming up, and now my comp and I put up some lights and a christmas tree. Brightens up the room and brings the christmas spirit in, and i'm learning some Christmas hymns and songs on the guitar. I love that thing!

We had our meetings with the president this week! All the new guys came in to first hear a message from the president. We got mosyt the way through it and then out of nowhere... We hear SUPER loud snoring!! I was thinking." Boy ain't no way!" Haha, i was scared for that missionary. He was bouta get shot down by the president! He was out cold! I felt bad for him though cuz he just was exhausted and couldn't stay awake.

We made a new record of 72 new contacts one day! But 55 of those were online, so idk if they counted, haha. But we did get 41 contacts in person the day before! That was wild! We talked to soo many people. I have been losing track of how many Livro De Mormon's have given to people. And tons of mini lessons about the restuaration and scripture messages.

We had 2 baptisms this week! We cleaned the font and scrubed it 2 different times cuz the font kept looking green! While we were doing this, a Gecko ran up the wall hiding behind a picture of Jesus, and i snatched it. A few seconds later, it leaps out of my hand and INTO THE FONT! You could say i had another baptism that day, haha. I ran in there to rescue it and released it outside.

There were many many stories about how we happened to be in the right place at the right time or share the exact message people needed to hear, and they were super cool! Awesome to see and watch the hand of the Lord put us in the paths of people we did not plan on meeting and work miracles with it!

Ok. Kites. They are freaking cool! It is a super big part of the culture here to fly kites. There will be 10 or more kids in the street flying kites and running around. It is like a competitive game. The kite strings are designed in a way to have tiny peices of glass or something to make it sharp, and they fly them around trying to cut one anothers strings! They dirrect then somehow by a method of twitching the strings. I watched them slice kites and kite tails many times and hear them scream and run down the street to look for where the kite will fall. It's super cool, and i want to try it sometime.

Pretty solid week! I want to create a method to send a picture, maybe a Google Drive, but i am working on it so yall can see a little of what's going down in Brazil!

Untill next week,
Tchau!

God is Good! God Is Great!
Deus è Bom! Deus è Ótimo!
