Mission Week 11

AM AN AVENGER! JKJK. But fr at the same time, this week i have been called Captain America, Spiderman, and Thor! At different times during the week, people have said i look like these people, and i feel awesome! haha. I am currently a different kind of Avenger/ Superhero; a representative of Jesus Christ, our Savior! A Fishermen of Souls to bring them closer to Jesus Christ. But they got it partialy right haha!

One slight downer of the week is i got some bug bite on my ankle. i get bug bites and mosquito bites all the time, so I didn't think much of it. It just itched a bit. but the next few days it began to itch but even moreso it becgan to hurt! and then my ankle has swollen up all around the bite and hurts a lot more. it got pretty stiff and is difficult to walk sometimes because it hurts. I think it is a spider bite cuz i dont know what else could do that, but it ain't fun. But ya, that is part of the reason why i got called Spiderman this week, haha. It will probably fade and go away within a few days, but i can count my blessings that i am lucky to only have one little thing to complain about rather than many things or a big thing, haha. but you know this ain't gonna slow me down, we still out there on that Jesus Grind, sharing the Gosple Babbyyyy!
And dont worry, i woke up this mornin and it doesn't hurt so bad. It's still swollen as crap but not dyin, we gettin' better! And it's all good, cuz i'm Spiderman!

Alright, I told yall about how i cut my comps hair. Well, i cut mine too, and the members asked where i had gotten it cut cuz they needed one too, haha. i told them i did it myself, and they were like, "Whatttt thats crazzyy" and then asked if i could cut their hair too! so i cut 2 youth members' hair. W.

House inspections went well luckily. President and his wife came to our apartment to check it out, and i think we passed, haha. Sister Bikeman played my guitar a bit, and so now i know one way i can find music is through her, haha. During inspections we had our interviews. One thing that stuck out to me is that i want to always have the spirit with me and hear it better. but another perspective is that i need to try to be the spirits' companion. I need to strive to live in a way that i can strive to be a good Companion to the spirit. The Holy Ghost is literally a part of the Godhead. i shouldn't expect him to be my companion, but i should strive to be his companion always, and in that way, i will have the spirit with me. becuase i will be with him.

I had a Division with a braziilian Elder this week, and it was Dope! Elder Cirilo. super dope, dude. his comp and my trainer were together, and me and the other guy together. we were working in my area, so i got to plan the whole day and decide where we were going, what to teach, and everything to do that day! I was The Senior Comp for that day! super cool! we visited tonnsss of people and taught many lessons as well as made lots of new contacts! It felt weird to still be a trainee and still the senoir comp leading the day, but it was awesome, and i enjoyed the day. It went by soo fast!

Christmas Devotional! Ahhhhh i freakin loved it! lots of missionaries gathered together, and they were all performing and sharing music with all of us! Singing, playing guitar, Ukelele, violin, flute, Paino. and they were super good, too! people be poppin off goin crazy fr. i love music, so it was amazing for me, and i was soo happy. we also got to hear messages from the mission president and another guy. The music continued after and was super powerful, inviting the spirit and people sharing their talents. The piano peice especially was amazing and guitar with singing. Super good. I really hope i can play my guitar and sing or somthin next year for christmas. im learning the guitar here, so if any of yall have music, tips, or anything to help, I'd love it! i am excited to be able to share the music with the people here. Music is super powerful.

this week, we have taught many lessons, and there was always at least one a day that was super powerful and awesome! i love being able to add little pieces here and there in broken potugues when i understand, haha.

one random highlight of the week, me and my comp were walkin' down the street talkin bout who know's what, and then up ahead i see a strange looking motecycle goin down the road towords us. I commented about it, and it got closer, and you would not believe what i saw! Granny was wippin' the electric wheelchair down that street going bout 40 kilometers per hour! just flying! and whearing a helmit too hahahaha probbably one of the funniest random things i had seen. Granny wippin the wheechair on the Streets of Brazil! one of those 3 wheeled ones.

Ight now i have tried this Drink. Brazillian drink. I've been scepticle about it before when i saw it before the mission, but im here, so i gotta try it and take on the culture. I tried it at a members house, and it is actually pretty decent. i like it especially because it is unique. it is called; Maté.
Two different kinds:
Chimarrão - Serve Hot-the cup is made of Gourd.
Tereré - Serve Cold- use in aluminum or cup that keeps cold
I dont really know a whole lot about it, but imma get the cup and stuff. It has a unique spoon/straw, too. imma keep learnin more about it, yall can try it too if ya want lol.

I gave my Jesus picture to a boy on my first week here and went there to visit again and saw it in the missdle of the living room still there! the only picture, too! super cool, he said he really likes it, and he also tells all his friends that he got it from his super cool "North American friend." super cool that it had a good impact on them.

I had the opportunity to speak in church this sumday!! I'll put the talk in here at the very bottom.

Truly, there are no accidents with God. Everything happens for a reason, and i have especially seen how many encounters with people were no accident, and we get to begin teaching people who are so ready to hear the gospel. very inocent looking coincidences... but i think not. I dont believe in coincidences and know that there truly are no accidents with God.

Thanks, yall! i love hearing from you guys and hope you all are doing well!

Deus é Bom! Deus é Ótimo!

Until next week,
Tchau!

My Sunday Talk "Talents and Joy"
___________________________________________
