Mission week 18 (02/05/2024)

This week has been good! A bit slow and i have been a bit down about the language and understanding people, but other than that it has been great! Many Many great things have happened this week!

Last week P day was dope! We had a district meeting that went well and then we were planning our weeks and all the sudden someone yells... "RUUNNNNNNN! Put down your phones and run!! we are playing ball tag!" and we commenced to play an epic game of ball tag running for our lives around the gym hahaha. we also played dodgeball which was dope. but then after some brief shopping me and my comp conked out and fell asleep and so our P day was just gone.

We had a super cool opportunity to go to the temple with our Friend Rosy (Rosaly) who was baptized last sunday! and we were able to help her baptize her family names! it was super special and we baptized and confirmed 3 generations of her family! So we had one baptism that led to another many baptisms and a special moment at the temple! We also did temple names, and we did well over a hundred of those. they just kept coming haha and we kept doing them.
We also had to say goodbye to Rosy this week, which was sad but she will be with her family in Cuba, and plans to teach them and baptize them all! Awesome!

This week my little bro had a surgery on his wrist to take the Metal plates out of his wrist. my parents said the surgery went well so that's good!

There was a mission tour and President Bikemans boss basically was here. but we only met with half the mission and the other half went on a different day because of the amount of people. Elder Cohl is a General authority and in charge of all of the Brazil missions. I am sure they said some awesome stuff, but frustratingly enough I could not understand enough to piece together what they were saying. but there was pizza afterward, and we had a second lunch.

Hail. Wind. Rain. Waterfalls of Ice and water falling from the sky... sideways, and broken umbrellas.

Super dope ward we got here. Alla 2, in Central Curitiba, right smack dab in the middle. they had an activity with Pastels, and they made pastels and sold them to raise money for something, but they gave it to us for free! Lots of inactive people and investigators were there! It was awesome! and well ya know... there was food, so of course i loved it!

Marcio! My boy was baptized this sunday! super dope and super happy for him making amazing changes in his life for the better to grow! He was one of those miracle Baptisms. They had been working with him for a long time. back in his hometown and here before I got here. but he finally made the decision to be baptized with us and chose me to baptize him!! So my first Bap! It was awesome and super special.

Some random things.
Some crazy dude tried pulling some ninja moves and wack us with his stick or walking cane.
Carnaval has some strange stuff going on and people in costumes and dudes with glitter all over their chest painted in gold. and other stuff too.

Pizza. We had pizza in the fridge from the mission tour and a member threw it in the trash. The trash bag was new and "clean" when they realized it was ours they felt bad and said it was still clean if we wanted it... we decided to take it to eat it cuz it was perfectly fine. But in a garbage bag. So we carried it around in a garbage sack and actually ended up eating a bit of it. It actually tasted super good but then our thoughts of it in the garbage stopped us from eating more. But ya we ate pizza out of the garbage.

Me and Elder Eyring were walking home late at night round 8:30 and were walking through this patch of forest that we had never been to before. it got darker, and darker. it was like the black darkness was trying to swallow us up. our phone flashlights barely made a difference. and we got in there a little ways, and all the sudden we saw a dude standing there in front of us, in the middle of these dark woods, middle of nowhere. and he was close too, but if anyone was in those woods they would have to be homeless, doing drugs, or up to no good. Elder Eyring yells, "Go! Go! Go! RUN!" and we booked it running as fast as we could out of there back the way we had come. i lost my pen lol, but our hearts were racing. Fun times. safe now.

I got a cheap Ukulele and now have been playing both the Guitar and the Uke. I love them both and love music.Music brings me Peace and Joy, and the lyrics can be powerful. I often feel the spirit working through me with music. Music is powerful.
As I am now learning both of these instruments, if any of yall have tips let me know! and if you have music to play with them send it on over!

This week a scripture that i Often Shared was Moroni 7:36-38.
This scripture is about Faith. Faith is powerful. With Faith all things are possible through God. It is by faith that angels appear to men. Faith is the Key to the Gospel of Jesus Christ, which brings us joy, even eternal happiness. So, make sure that you can have this faith, this hope, and take action. grow your faith. the fundamentals such as reading the scriptures daily and prayer and more will grow your faith. your faith, your level will never stay the same. you are either shrinking or you are growing. so choose to actively grow! because if you are not taking any action to grow, your faith will falter. so give it your 100%! give it your all. do the fundamentals and continue to grow your faith. It is a lifelong journey. But it will bring you soo much Joy.

God is Good! God is Great!

Until next week... Tchau!
