Mission week uhhh I dont remember, 23? (03/11/24)
What's good everybody!!!?? We doin good here in Brazil. Last P-day was a Blast!! we played futebol, basketball, more futebol, Guitar, Uke, and we went bowling!!! It was a litt P-day and I was dead tired after.
This week has been a little better and I have not been as stressed out, or at least I have tried to not let things stress me as much with all we have to do. i always try to do every little thing perfectly but i realized that if i am getting super stressed it is going to affect the people around me and i don't want that. so this week has been much better with that. One quote from one of our great members when he greeted us was, "Elders of Israel, how are you? Are you all right? Because if you are all good, then the people are all good. " (Irmão Juca.)
that hit me hard because normally i don't worry about myself i just go, but i need to chill my brains out a bit to help them better haha. How I am doing affects the people around me. To not be super stressed and just be a friend to everyone, love everyone, and share the Spirit and the Gospel. not stress about doing everything right perfectly. just go and do and let the spirit guide.
This week my comp tried to take more control in planning our days and what we would do. i let him because he is Senior companion but i the first day of that we were just moving too slowly and on the second day I said that we needed to do more and not stop so much. i like to always be in motion, so he said ok can you guide us then? and i did.
Me and my comp still have a way to go to work together better, but during this week and by the end of it i feel we are doing a lot better. he might be a little weird, different or nerdy, or the opposite of me and not like any of the same stuff, but i can still love him. We can still get along. and we can work together. one thing that we do have in common is we like music, but everything else is completely different haha but music is what we got.
Lou Hamilton Gordan the ex-Marine said he would go to church.... and he DID!! i was super happy to see him there finally! and he loved it too.
We had two family nights with investigators. one was with the bishopric member and my basketball buddy Micheal and his wife. we had a super powerful message and the spirit was amazingly strong! It felt soo good!
The other family night was with Irmao Juca and his wife with another old couple. Irmao Juca in the past has been a Bishop, stake president, Temple President, and more and currently is working in the temple still. we asked him to speak on the temple with this family because he is pro at that. this message was super powerful and strong. He is very knowledgeable and spiritual. he shared powerful and directly. and he ended with an amazing invite. he asked them if they would like to be sealed in the temple, and he, having the authority and keys if he could do the honor of performing the sealing for them! it was soo awesome! they accepted and the wife will be getting baptized soon too! the husband will baptize her!
We had a few people reject the messages this week which was really sad. when people say they don't want to hear any more because they do not believe in a part or don't understand it. it went straight into my heart and was sad. something that i want to drive home for everyone. these 2 things. Many people hear this all the time, they forget these things or overlook the importance of it. to pray, wherever you are, whenever you can pray. The scriptures say to pray always! do this! pray always! Many people don't do this, don't pray and are lacking that and that is part of why they are struggling to accept the gospel and more. pry and strengthen your connection with God. and the second part is to read the scriptures. Read your Book of Mormon. do these things. these 2 simple things. and watch as the blessings fall. watch as you will see the hand of God more in your life, and you will be able to hear the promptings of the spirit with more clarity.
2 small simple things with a large difference. do it. please don't be the ones that lack this. many people do lack this, so just do it. like Nike.
random parts of the week.
-Some crazy homeless dude yelled a prayer and kissed my comp's hand.
-Some guy in the street Drew a fast drawing of us in 3 minutes and gave it to us! It was awesome! His insta is @Karikato, so if you can find him check out his stuff. It was dope.
-S!ome drunk lady in the street saw us walking at night and yelled "Hail Hitler!" and made that signal too.
-We saw our homeless crazy ward member again in the street. He shaved. He used to have a really long beard and now he doesn't even have eyebrows... It was strange. The bishopric told us that he has somehow found a way into our chapel at night to sleep there. He just jumps the fence and finds a window or other way in. not good.
-Another old guy on the street was super nice and said he was a member and he travels a lot, he was smiling really big and laughing and he stepped back and tripped on his bag... then he toppled over like a bowling pin! First we checked to see if he was ok, he was. Then we died of laughter! It was hilarious! The guy was laughing with us too. but he fr fell straight as a board like a pole on the ground.
-Loco Vaca, this is coca cola with ice cream. it's like a rootbeer float and got this funny name called crazy cow. i tried it, it was bomb.
-and basketball, it is just always litt.
love yall, read yer scriptures, pray, and stay strong!
God is Good God is Great!
-so let him in
until next week,
Tchau
