Mission week 38 (06/24/2024)

Week 38. (06/24/2024) It has definitely been a week. (quote from Thiago.) it really has haha, but it has been longgg. Transfers came and went last week, we are staying here but went to the city to greet the new guys and cut our hair. We ran to McD's to grab a quick burger while waiting and the LZ's got mad... Ope. But I enjoyed my burgar lol. we weren't doin anything wrong so idk why they got mad prolly cuz we didnt invite them haha. but of the new guys that came to our city one was my trainer! Elder Eyring, which is litt. The rest of P-day involved a litt churrasco and futebol so it was a super good p-day. This week not much happened, had a quick division with Elder Ortiz from Guatemala. and me and my comp have been grinding trying to find people, teach and mark dates and we have found a bunch of people and marked dates for the next couple weeks. The turnout at church was super good. we had 17 investigators there, but almost none of them were the ones we expected haha. A little sad thing this week was 3 dates that fell... but hopefully one will go through in the future. We have done a lot of walking, and getting back late so we have been dead tired. But it will all pay out and we will find those people ready to receive the blessings of the gospel. a few spiritual thoughts this week. Check out the talk in a devotional by Russell M Nelson: Choices for Eternity. It's good. This Sunday they spoke a lot about the quiet and silence that we can feel in the temple. We took a minute to close our eyes and not use cell phones or say or do anything and just be silent and listen. It was nice. we need to seek out these moments of silence. in the moments of silence when you seperate yourself from the world you and more receptive and can hear better, and receive personal revelation, feel peace and more. This moment made me think about the first vision, how Joseph Smith himself took a moment to separate himself from the world and went to a grove of trees to find peace alone and pray seeking answers from God. and he certainly received it. That place is now called the Sacred Grove. I now want you to think for a moment. For you personally, where is a place that you can seperate yourself from the world and find that comforting silence, peace and quiet? Place number one is the Temple. but we can't always be there every second of the day. but think for a moment. Where is your personal Sacred Grove? seek it, find it, and maybe even create it. and go there, we need to find those places closer to God in our lives now more than ever, to find that peace and guidance. One goal should also be to create your sacred grove within your own house. make your home a place where the spirit of God is welcome and invite him more into your lives. find your Sacred Groves and go there. Some of my sacred groves are: the temple, and the mountains in nature. Where are yours? Love yall, hope y'all are doing great! Have a great week! God is Good!
