Mission week 41 (07/15/2024)
Yoooo! This week has officially been one of the longest feeling weeks I have had haha. This last pday feels like it happened 3 weeks ago and that is no joke.
Last Pday was amazing. and just because of the dinner. we went to this restaurant called "Alexandria Burger", and it is basically the best restaurant i have ever been to on my entire mission! it had a deal that for 69 Brazilian Real ($12 or $13 american dollars) you can have an all you can eat buffet! they had a million options for burgers and more. i ended up eating 12 Burgers, fries with bacon and cheddar, fried chicken, pizza, 3 cups of ice cream, and a bottle 'o coke.
it was a glorious meal, it was amazing, and i love food so i really loved this, and i ate a lot... i really did enjoy it... but it sure did hurt after haha. I felt like my stomach was gonna explode. but it was soo good and i'd do it again lol.
This week was a bit sad cuz our baptism date fell through, literally at the last second too. the dad outa nowhere just said he would not let her be baptized and to never return to their house. so that was really extremely frustrating.
so we funneled that frustration and found a family of four and they are now on date for baptism and excited. We also found another cool guy and put him on a date to be baptized.
We are trying to grind and get some more people to be able to progress to baptism and not be "moley" or soft. Lots of people have been flakey and not firm so we are gonna cut them all and find the people who truly are ready to accept the gospel. The people are here, God has been preparing them, we just have to find them, teach them, and help them receive the blessings of baptism.
It has been cold, rainy and frustrating with flakey people, but we are just gonna keep goin and trust in God to find them. because with God all things are possible.
Random stuff:
I have decided what dog i want, i want a pit monster.
Saw a bunch of Tucans.
People are saying i was on the juice before the mish...
Thought for the week:
Go out, act and do good and be a light in the lives of others. That is an invite for all of you, every day to do a good thing for someone else to brighten their day. be a disciple of Christ. maybe a small thing but a positive good action for someone else.
If all good things come from God, then why don't you seek to do more Good things in your life?
Doing good deeds is a way to literally invite God directly into your life. God works in your life more than you know. It all just feels like normal life, but he created it, he created what our reality is. if you will go out and do good things you will be acting as the hand of God and directly inviting him into your life. it is the reality that God created. So go out and do good.
God is Good! God is Great!
