Mission week 49. Transfers!!!!
Mission week 49. (09/09/2024) Transfers!!!!
Heyyyyy Guyssssss!! what's goin on!!!? it has been a crazy week full greatness! we started it off last week by going to the Big Hamburgaria that is called Alexandria. All you can eat burgers, pizza, chicken, fries, ice cream, and more! I definitely ate too much and it hurt but was still awesome!
Crazy news!! I was visiting an Irma in our ward and received a call from President. remembering about transfers my heart dropped. I thought there was no possibility of me being transferred and was not prepared at all. I answered the phone and President said "Elder Martin, you have been there for 6 months already, now you will be transferred to area: Ahu in Curitiba, and work with Elder Siebra!" he continued to say, "i need you to help bring more energy there" I was caught soo off guard and unprepared. i truly had been there for 6 months but i was happy and wanted to stay, the work in that area was incredible. I really love the people of this area and ward. they became like family. The transfers are a bit sad but at the same time, I know that there are people elsewhere that need me. not directly me, but they need me to be the mirror to direct the reflection and light of Christ at just the right angle to touch people's hearts and bring them unto Christ. I was able to see the lives of many good friends Change piece by piece as I worked there but I did not realize until the end some of them. true friends i made, and helped connect them more yet to our savior. I love Jardim Verona, I will miss it and the great people there. it was my second area. my first was Ala 2 which i will never forget either. The hard part is leaving, but the great part truly is the work that goes on and continues. My mission is to Testify of Jesus Christ. and that I will do. for everyone near enough to hear.
side note. Elder Siebra is a good friend of my old comp Elder Santos and from the northeast of Brasil! all of my comps after my training have been Brasillions from the northeast and it has been awesome!! 2 in recife and the others all close by. Elder Batista, Elder Santos, Elder Benjamim, and Elder Siebra now! so imma have to for sure make a visit up there after the mish. i just say President, keep sending me with the northeastern's haha that's fine by me cuz i have been vibin with them all.
I woke up Saturday and i was 20! hit my first birthday on the mish. it was awesome!!! Elder Amaral was finishin up a division with us so slept over the night before. Then we cleaned the church and afterwards had an amazing lunch with Irmao Cris! Cris is the Superman of the Missionarios here! and he made some incredible food! and Pudin after!! It was perfect!! Then we went to the center of the city to work as a district in an activity to just find people, invite them all to church for the next day and give out BOM's and pamphlets. It was awesome!!! doing like a blitz with a whole district. found lots of good people, crazy people, and all sorts of cool experiences. I lost my voice a bit for talking soo much. then grabbed some cal de cana with pineapple and Maracuja. It was incredible. afterwards we went to Irma Aline and Marcelo's house for dinner. had some incredible food and then a cake with a fountain firework on top, it was awesome! They also gave me some cool popcorn design socks! then we headed home and my old Comp Elder Santos, Igor now sent me a Birthday Pizza and a 2 liter bottle of Guarana! we finished praying for the pizza and heard another delivery arrive.... 3 more pizzas!!! and a 2 liter bottle of coke! my parents sent us pizza too!! hahahaha it was awesome!!! i was super happy and full and tired. truly was an awesome birthday. We got to work a lot that day to help people come unto christ.
(Also my Dad went hunting and got the legendary Birthday Bull Elk that always appears)
Solid B-day.
random stuff of the week
-Visited Irmao Albari, drank Chimarrão and learned more about how it is done.
-Baptsmal dates fell, so we went out and found more people. My good friend Joao Vitor, son of Djalma, wants to and will be baptized! sadly i have been transferred and won't get to see it.
-Found an inactive member mother with two kids that she hopes they can be baptized, we have another couple (Rodrigo and Erica) in the process to get married and baptised. and a few other elite people. The area is full of great people who are ready to be baptized and receive the blessings of God!
-called people to repentance and taught a few of them very directly using scriptures burned them a bit.
_had a litttt Family Night at Patricia's house with Cuscuz, Torta salgada, Brazilian hot dogs, Chimarrao and cake!! was awesome!!!
-I Experimented a orange flavored Pudin at Lara's house. it was freaking amazingg! i'm gonna have to make it again!
-One bap date fell cuz her boyfriend thought we were trying to steal his girl. oops, im just tryna help people come to Jesus Chhrist so i dunno why he was thinkin that. oh well.
-Found an Elite family. she said she was in the road the other day said a prayer to help her find the church she needs to go to and when she opened her eyes The Church Of Jesus Christ was in front of her! so she wanted to hear everything and know when she could go. super cool.
-When i received the transfer news we had to say all the goodbyes to everyone and were talking with other elders in our house till 11 o'clock. Then I started trying to organize my crap and pack haha. that was a lot. i got to bed at 2 after I packed and showered. then i wasn't able to sleep still haha so i am dead tired today. so imma take a huge nap and ill see yall next week!
Im here in Ahu Curitiba and im gonna do my best to "Bring the Energy" and help all the people i can come to Christ. My comp is super litt so i am hyped to work with him.
Until next week.....Tchau!
